Meet Julianne

A life shaped by practice, study and curiosity.

I'm a yoga and meditation teacher, a writer and a student of consciousness. My work explores how stillness, embodiment and honest self-inquiry help us become more present to our own lives.

My story

I've spent thirteen years teaching yoga and meditation, including years running my own studios and leading international yoga teacher trainings. That experience, combined with my current graduate study in consciousness, psychology, and transformation, shapes everything I teach today.

I'm not interested in yoga as performance or perfect poses. I'm interested in what happens after you roll up the mat: how what you practice actually shows up in your body, your relationships, and your ordinary life.

That's the thread running through my in-person classes, my guided practices, and the book I'm writing now.

If you want the longer version, including why I closed my last studio and what it taught me, you can read that here.

What happens after the practice matters most.

I'm interested in what carries beyond the mat or meditation cushion: how we inhabit our bodies, relate to other people, respond when life becomes difficult, and live what we begin to understand about ourselves.

Some of the clearest noticing I've done lately has happened in a living room with the windows open, between a class and a car door. It didn't require me to create anything. It only required me not to fill it.

What guides the work

Relief is the doorway. Consciousness is the deeper work.

Meditation may begin as stress relief. Yoga may begin as movement. Savasana may begin as rest. Each one can become a doorway into greater awareness, and into a life you are more present for.

How I teach

Grounded teaching style

I value clear instruction, thoughtful pacing, and practices that leave room for people to actually notice what they are experiencing.

Depth without dogma

Yoga and meditation can open profound questions. I like exploring them without pretending there is only one tradition, theory, or explanation that holds all the answers.

Practice that meets real life

What happens on the mat matters. What interests me even more is what happens afterward in our bodies, relationships, choices, and the way we meet ordinary life.
